About Sarah

I made a career change from disability services to financial services in 2017. My journey brought me to Crew Capital in 2021 as back-office support for the team and point of contact for clients. Rob Jung has been a long-time family friend of 20+ years, so I knew I could not pass up the opportunity when he offered me the position. Crew Capital’s morals and values align with my passions for teamwork and client service.

I live on the west side of Cincinnati with my husband, Ryan, our four daughters (Harper, Ainsley, Elodie, and Halle), our three cats, two dogs, and our gecko named Freckles. Our house is a full-blown circus, and I wouldn’t have it any other way! The thing that brings me the most pride in life is watching my girls participate in sports (we are a huge soccer family), school plays, and other activities they love to do. What brings them joy, brings me joy. Personally, running is an extremely significant and deeply rooted part of my life. So, when I get “free” time, you can find me listening to inappropriate music while I pound the pavement through Cleves.

What I do For crew and you

Many years ago, I took part in a Character Strengths workshop. There are twenty-four character strengths that we all possess in varying degrees, which means each person has their own unique profile. My leading strength was kindness, followed closely in order by, teamwork, kindness, forgiveness, and leadership. Even after all these years, I still have my card listing my top five strengths from the workshop. I can assure you that these five strengths are still priorities for me today and always will be.

Work Experience

While I was in Graduate School in Toledo, I completed my assistantship at an independent living center in the recreation department that served individuals with developmental and physical disabilities. Before graduating, they hired me in full time to run part of a nationwide, inclusive golf program for people with and without disabilities. From there, I moved back home to Cincinnati, where I worked as a teacher at a charter school for six years and taught students who had a dual diagnosis of a severe behavior disorder and a developmental disability. For the next four years, I worked for an agency that serves adults with developmental disabilities in group homes and in community supported living. As much as I loved this job, unfortunately, it was extremely demanding of my time and was not conducive for a family with four children and a husband that traveled for work. So, in 2017, I decided to apply for a job in financial services and was blessed enough to have some beautiful hearted people believe in and take a chance on me. Now, here I am, with Crew Capital, continuing to live my passion of client service…just in a different light.
